Evergreen's 3rd Annual Truck Rodeo

Evergreen families and employees turned out for Evergreen's 3rd Annual Truck Rodeo on Saturday, June 5, 2010. It was held at San Jacinto College Driving School campus in Pasadena, Texas. The competition included a written test for the drivers, pre-trip inspection on a truck, an interview with DOT officers, and a timed driving competition. All CDL drivers were eligible to compete for cash prizes, trophies and bragging rights.

The employees and their families enjoyed a lunch provided by Evergreen and a chance to see the drivers show their best. Two-time champ Pat Harris commented, “The pre-trip was more challenging this year and the day was shorter with how it was organized where more than one event was going on at a time.” The winners received trophies and cash prizes presented by Evergreen's CEO and President Jon Hodges and Transportation Safety Coordinator Don Wright. The winners were:

1st place – Pat Harris
2nd place – Joseph Handy
3rd place – David Smith
4th place – Quinton Redo
