ISTC Recognizes Evergreen for Safety Excellence

Evergreen Industrial Services, along with over 50 contractors, were represented at the 14th Annual Safety Excellence Training Awards Banquet. The banquet and ceremony presented by Industrial Safety Training Council (ISTC) was held at the Holiday Inn Atrium Plaza in Beaumont, Texas on May 13, 2010.

Neal Lemonis attended on behalf of Evergreen and accepted three awards on their behalf:

• Sustained Recordable Incidence Rate for 3 Consecutive Years
• 1 Million Hours Worked Safely
• 5 Years Worked Without an OSHA Lost Work Day Case

To be considered for an award, a company must have a perfect safety record for the entire year at the refinery and chemical plants they work at in the Golden Triangle area comprised of Beaumont, Port Arthur, Orange, and others in between. Evergreen had crews working in 2009 at Arkema Beaumont and at ExxonMobil Beaumont providing hydroblasting, chemical cleaning, flex lancing, tube lancing, shell side machines, and turnaround services. In 2009, Evergreen was working at Valero Lucas Terminal Port Arthur for nine months doing tank cleaning and pontoon roof cleaning. At Chevron Port Arthur, Evergreen performed hydroblasting services and at Shell Pipeline did hydro-excavation work.
