Texas Governor Recognizes VPP Award to Evergreen

A VPP Star Award Ceremony for Evergreen Industrial Services was held in Texas City on March 3, 2010 in front of an audience of 85 people who gathered to witness the honor. Evergreen’s prestigious VPP Star designation for their Texas City location was recognized by Texas Governor Rick Perry.

A letter from Governor Rick Perry was read by Barbara Meeks congratulating the outstanding achievement of OSHA VPP Star Award to Evergreen Industrial Services. A Texas flag that has flown above the State Capitol was also presented to Jon Hodges in honor of receiving official notification of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration Voluntary Protection Program Star Award in January 2010.

Evergreen employees and special guests enjoyed the award ceremony as OSHA VPP representative Kevin Rockwell presented the VPP flag and VPP plaque to Jon Hodges, President and CEO.

Jon Hodges plans to display the Texas flag and the proclamation plaque at the Evergreen corporate office in La Porte, Texas. The OSHA VPP flag will fly at the Texas City Branch office and the OSHA VPP plaque is displayed at both the corporate office and the Texas City office.
