Texas Senator Mike Jackson Recognizes VPP Award to Evergreen

Constituent Services Director Barbara Lewis, representing Senator Mike Jackson, attended the VPP Star Award Ceremony on March 3, 2010 honoring Evergreen Industrial Services. Barbara Lewis read a proclamation from the State of Texas commending Evergreen on its excellent safety practices and on earning the Voluntary Protection Site Star Award. Barbara presented the proclamation plaque and said in her speech:

"I am here today on behalf of Senator Jackson to let you know that we recognize the hard work, commitment and team spirit between Management and employees that is essential in achieving this award. How very proud we are of your achievement and to congratulate you on an outstanding job. I am pleased to present you with a Texas Senate Proclamation signed by Senator Jackson in recognition of your commitment to safety in the work place."

Barbara went on to thank Evergreen for the invitation. "We appreciate you allowing us to be a small part of a very important event in the business life of your company."

Political representatives, customers and employees attended the VPP Star Award Ceremony for Evergreen Industrial Services. As OSHA VPP representatives presented the VPP flag and VPP plaque to Jon Hodges, President and CEO of Evergreen, the crowd of 85 people were clapping enthusiastically to acknowledge this great achievement.
