June 17, 2016 - Evergreen Industrial Services Announces a Change of Ownership
It is with great excitement that I announce a change of ownership with Evergreen Environmental Services and GEM Mobile Treatment Services. Effective June 16, 2016, our new financial and managing partners will be The Sterling Group located in Houston, Texas. Platform Partners and myself have agreed to partner with The Sterling Group because of their strong vision and commitment to our growth expectations. They have assembled a dynamic management team that consists of several industry leaders.
As expected all of our current management teams will continue forward. These leaders will be great mentors to them as well as our overall objective to be the premier Industrial Cleaning Company in our industry. I have been in this industry for over 33 years and this is one of the most dynamic teams I have ever been associated with. This team includes: Mark Neas (former President of Brand), Phil Hawk (former CEO of Team and current Chairman), Kevin Garland (Partner of The Sterling Group), Frank Zilka (CEO of NAIS), Tim Zilka (President of NAIS), Paul Anderson (President of GEM) as well as our current management team and myself.
At the close of the transition of Evergreen/GEM, The Sterling Group will also be closing on another industrial cleaning company, North American Industrial Services (NAIS). NAIS operates out of 23 locations, mostly outside of the Gulf coast. Their founders, Frank and Tim, worked with me many years ago at Waste Management also known as Rust Industrial Services. Both of them resigned their positions, as I did and ultimately started their own company (NAIS). Tim and Frank grew their company over 23 years into the great company it is today. NAIS is similar in size to Evergreen/GEM with several more operating locations. These locations will prove important as we continue to get all the value we can from our national contracts. In order to compete as a heavyweight in the national market, we must have a footprint and foundation for the initiative.
These three companies together will give us a very impressive high technical service offering; a technical service offering that exceeds current industry standards. Some of these services will include High Volume and automated Hydro blasting, Chemical Cleaning, Degassing, Tank cleaning and Liquid Solid Separation. Together, these companies will represent $200MM in annual revenues and a foot print that spreads throughout North Americas. We are a sizable company and growing. I also feel that we will be the leaders in our space if we keep our safety cultures aligned, keep our customers on the front row and continue to provide the highest quality service offering in the industry.
In Summary, It was very important to me that we partnered with a group that shares our vision, understands our culture and understands our industry. I feel that The Sterling Group adds value to all of these and will help support us in our next phase of growth.
